GUASFCU supports a variety of philanthropic events benefiting the Georgetown community, the greater D.C. area, and national charities and foundations.

 

Financial Literacy Series

FLC

Every year GUASFCU sponsors a campus-wide financial literacy series aimed at educating students on the importance of managing finances early on. The series consists of four events including topics such as investing, student loans, smart credit decisions and managing money. The Credit Union will be presenting Smart Credit Decisions this Wednesday, March 17 at 7:00pm in ICC Auditorium. Join us and learn about credit cards, loans, credit scores, and more! Pizza and refreshments will be provided

Philanthropic efforts

 

 

GUASFCU supports Relay for Life and its mission to fight cancer. Last year GUASFCU raised over $7000. We are looking to top that this year!

 

GUASFCU supports the

Run for Rigby, donating $2000 in 2008. That same year, the foundation raised $30,000 and used the funds for fire safety and scholarships.

 

JTIII Foundation

GUASFCU supports the John Thompson III foundation, raising over $1300.The foundation's mission is to foster recently established non-profits that serve at-risk children and families, primarily focusing on education and healthcare for families.

 

 

Reimagine Georgetown

 

GUASFCU, the Corp, and The Hoya have come together to create the Reimagine Georgetown Partnership, a student partnership dedicated to empowering individuals to improve the undergraduate experience in innovative ways.
